Laura Kutz

Ms. Laura joined HCMS in 2018 as both a parent and staff member. During her time at HCMS, she has served as a substitute teacher and Primary assistant teacher while working towards a Primary credential from Seton Montessori Institute in Chicago.  She is currently a lead teacher in the Primary classroom.

Ms. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Library and Information Science from National Taiwan University, a Master of Arts degree in History of Art from University College London, and a Texas Educator Certificate Core Subjects EC-6.  She has worked as an arts administrator, exhibition coordinator, music camp organizer, and piano teacher before entering the field of Montessori education.

Ms. Laura is originally from Taiwan and has lived in the UK and the US for the past 15 years. She has three children who are all attending HCMS. Her interests of early childhood education and child development grew after her first child was born. She fell in love with the Montessori philosophy and chose to pursue her passion and calling to become a “Montessorian.” Besides her love for all things Montessori, she enjoys traveling, reading, interior design, arts, and music.
