Marie Kidd

Interim Head of School

Marie Kidd is serving as the Interim Head of School for the 2025-2026 school year.  She has more than 30 years of educational leadership experience—including serving as Head of School at Trinity Episcopal School in Austin and, most recently, Interim Head at Trinity Episcopal School in Galveston—and brings a steady, mission-aligned presence to the campus.

Marie has a reputation as a classroom-centered leader, effective communicator, and mentor to faculty.  She has deep experience with child-centered learning models and has served on and led accreditation teams for independent schools throughout Texas and California. She shares a deep respect for Montessori philosophy and looks forward to learning from and partnering with HCMS’s experienced faculty.
